HOOOOLLLAAAA DE San Lorenzo amigos!! Well today has been quite an adventure. It started out with a jungle walk led by children. They were equipped with machetes and led us through the hillside. We encountered a peeing monkey (mona), a few huge hill slides and a bat cave! We ran through a tunnel under the road which was filled with hundreds of bats. The boys ran through first and scared them all and were trapping them at the other end with the machete! Even Patricia went through! Everyone said if you scream it makes the bats avoid you because of their echo location…and that’s why I did it… seriously. One bat got stepped on and Leo chopped it in half then I had to stomp it out to put it out of its misery. On the ride back we had 34 people in the back of our “Gringo Mobile” and it was a great time. We also bought a bunch of goodies from a little sweet shop on the edge of town. The
Back at work today there was some bed making and some sanding going on. It was only a half day but we still go a lot of work done. There was also time for Paul, Tim and I to play some volleyball with the kids and some of our construction friends. Joey was busy as always playing on the zip line and got

OMG Paw-- You had a scorpion in your room!!! Your biggest fear!! So tell me--did you take pictures??? Dad got quite the chuckle when he read that! Glad to hear everyone is feeling better. It is terrible to not feel well when you are away from home and have things you want to be doing. We are "Camp Rockin" here at the old homestead. There are five girls glued to the tube in the family room for this highly anticipated premier. Kar made it home safe to Indy from Branson. Finally our summer weather returned and it was truly a glorius day here. We are all missing you. Was very happy to have a post from the Team today!! Not having one yesterday made us feel out of the loop and sad. Enjoy your Life Tokens and smores on the beach tonight. I sure it will be a great evening. Until next time---We love you, miss you and are very proud of the work you are doing. Love, mommy, Your CHi and Lil'Lisa. (aka--Mrs. Jonas to be-- JK) xoxoxoox
Hi Jennifer and the Ecuador team mates, It sounds like you are having an amazing time. Your getting a lot of things done. But still having fun. I glad everyone is feeling better. Things went well with the MRI, only got poke twice. The veins need a rest. Were taking Koby to the vets on Monday. He's a bit under the weather. The lump on his side is getting bigger. Lizzie is concerned. It looks like today will be another rainy day. The window people called, I think they have the front window to be installed and then were done. I need to pull this house together. Lizzie has been a big help. We pray that you stay healthy and safe. We think your doing an amazing job. (The whole team) You have truly blessed the children. Take lots of pictures. Love Mom, Dad, Rich,& Lizzie
Hey Paul!
I heard you've been sick! I hope you are feeling better. I've been praying for you : ) I can't believe a scorpion was in your room. I would have died! I just got back from my first national competition as a teacher/choreographer. My juniors "Born to Entertian" got 3rd overall at the Battle and my seniors "Sarajevo" got 2nd overall at the Battle. Overall we are bringing home 450 dollars after everyones first nationals EVER! The girls were so excited. It was a great week and tough competition. I had never seen the girls dance so good. Have fun in the jungle. I've been thinking about you a lot. Give the kids a big hug for me!
LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!
GOD BLESS!

Hmmm... Scorpions, tarantulas... maybe next year I can go with you! I'm sure I would be such a huge help in protecting you from these things, similar to the way I protected you from the crazy helmet man at Aunt Vals. You can ALWAYS count on me BF! I am here for you!
How awesome with the handprints in the cement. Hope J got to do that too! Hoping that "Buttons" takes care of the plants today. If not, maybe "Zippers" will be by tomorrow.
love you both

Teresa and Joey,
Thinking of you on your prayer day. Read Friday's blog and shuddered about the scorpion. As you well know I hate arachnids! Now, about the bats, poor little things. I love bats as you know. I am so glad you are safe and sound. I am sure Joey is having a blast. Are you taking lots of pictures of the jungle? All I can think of is CCR's song about running through the jungle. Stay safe and I love you both.

Hope you guys are doing well! Miss you both! Hope you are building memories that will last a lifetime!!! Don't know what time you get back this weekend, but we are all going out for Heather's big 30th Birthday if you're back in time! See you soon! Bunches of hugs! Hol
Hi Mom and John!
I am so happy to hear you ran through the bat cave mom! kudo's to you, I knew you could do something like that, because of your daring edge! Sounds like so much is going on, it makes me wish I was there.
Alex and AJ were impressed with the people and bogg info and they wanted me to send these comments and questions to you. They said it was a little test -
1. cortar el cesped
2. ?es calor alla?
3. ?que estcione es?
4. ?hola, como estas?
5. ?extu amarillo grande?
(not sure of spelling)
dont know what they are saying but they are impressed with the Spanish sprinkled in the blogg here and there. And they had a lot of fun coming up with these.
Take good care of each other and continue to have great fun and make many memories and lasting impressions on the people there with your great kindness and warm heart - all of you!
Lots of Love - Miss you Big.
-Anita
Dear Papa John and Grandma M,
I found the peeing monkey funny! When you were running through the bat cave it was freaky sounding! The zip line sounds cool, because i have went out and zip lined before and the first time it was freaky!!!
I miss you lots!
Love Josh W
